A five-day incentive trip in the Langhe

52 colleagues from an American technology company travelled to Piedmont for five days among the vineyards of the Langhe.

Alessia Piperno managed the budget, flights, accommodation and programme, joining the group on site for the entire stay.

Arriving from the United States and Europe

Guests departed from different cities, with flights arriving at different times. Alessia coordinated their flights, airport transfers and accommodation, bringing the individual travel arrangements into the group’s schedule.

For the company, there was one contact looking after both the journey to Italy and the five days that followed.

Barolo, vineyard trails and truffle hunting

The programme introduced the group to the Langhe through its wine, food and countryside. Guests tasted Barolo, visited vineyards and cellars, and explored the area by e-bike.

They joined a truffle hunt with dogs and discovered local hazelnut production on a dedicated tour. A chocolate ceremony and lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant were also part of the stay.

These activities gave colleagues different ways to spend time together: cycling through the landscape, following the dogs as they searched for truffles, or talking over a long lunch.

Behind the five-day programme

Alessia managed the overall trip budget and coordinated the hotels, transport, activities and team building. Each booking needed to work with the group’s size, travel arrangements and the time available.

A winery visit or restaurant booking was one part of a larger day: getting everyone there, allowing enough time for the experience and coordinating the next stop all needed attention.

Alessia handled those arrangements with the suppliers before the trip and remained their point of contact throughout the event.

On site throughout the stay

For all five days, Alessia was there to assist guests, liaise with drivers and hosts, and manage the daily schedule.

The company worked directly with the person who had planned the trip, with no handover between the planning stage and delivery on site.
