About

A boutique practice for companies planning a high-value retreat in Italy.

The Italian Chapter was founded by Alessia Piperno, an Italian executive retreat planner with more than ten years of experience in luxury hospitality, concierge services, travel planning and event management — including senior roles inside Italian and international luxury hotels.

Today, the practice designs and operates bespoke corporate retreats, executive offsites, leadership retreats and incentive travel throughout Italy — for international companies whose programmes call for genuine destination expertise, executive-level service and absolute discretion.

Every project is planned personally by Alessia. She works directly with every client from the first consultation through to the final guest departure, acting as a single dedicated point of contact across the entire programme.

The Italian Chapter remains intentionally small. The number of projects accepted each year is limited by design, so that every programme receives the depth of attention an executive audience deserves.

Why clients work with us

The expertise of someone who already knows the country.

International companies choose The Italian Chapter when the retreat genuinely matters — and when the cost of getting the destination, the venue or the operational sequence wrong is meaningfully greater than the cost of working with the right partner from the outset.

Over more than a decade in Italian luxury hospitality, Alessia has built long-term relationships with the country's leading hotels, historic villas, Michelin-starred restaurants, destination partners, transport providers and local suppliers. These relationships translate into availability, access and a standard of service that public booking channels cannot reliably reproduce.

Every destination we recommend is one Alessia knows personally — walked, tested and operated, not researched. Every supplier in the chain has worked with us before. Every programme is planned around the company's people and objectives, not around a template.

The result is the calm of working with a single dedicated point of contact, in a country where details and relationships determine the outcome.

What Makes The Italian Chapter Different

A practice built on relationships, judgement and operational depth.

Many companies organising a retreat in Italy quickly discover that the destination's reputation does not guarantee the result. The distance between a well-executed executive programme and an indifferent one is the planner standing behind it. The Italian Chapter is structured, deliberately, around the elements that make that distance disappear.

Personally curated venues

Every hotel, private villa and historic estate we recommend has been visited, stayed in and tested by Alessia. The shortlist presented to each client is rarely longer than three properties, and each one has been chosen for the specific brief.

Trusted supplier relationships

Long-standing working relationships with Michelin-starred kitchens, transport providers, boat operators, destination partners and local artisans across Italy — built over years, not sourced for the project.

One dedicated project manager

Alessia is the single point of contact for every client from the first briefing through to the final departure. There is no account team to navigate and no information lost between handovers.

Tailored programme design

Every programme is designed around the company, the cohort and the result the retreat is meant to produce. Nothing is reused, and the agenda is built before the venue rather than around it.

Operational excellence

Every movement, every supplier and every contingency is sequenced and named in advance. By the time the group arrives, the programme is operating; the client's internal organiser participates as a guest, not as a producer.

Discretion

Programmes are held under a project name. Guest lists, seating plans and driver manifests circulate only where required. Front-of-house teams are briefed before arrival on which principals are public-facing and which are not.

Quality over quantity

The number of projects accepted each year is intentionally limited. The result is a level of personal attention and preparation that a larger agency cannot deliver to any one client.

Luxury hospitality standards

Service expectations are set by years inside the country's best hotels — not adapted from a generic events background. Every detail of an executive programme is held to that standard.

A different way of planning retreats

The destination is rarely the starting point.

A leadership retreat, an executive offsite or an incentive programme almost always exists for a reason larger than the setting itself — a strategy reset, a team integration after an acquisition, a milestone for a top-performing cohort, a high-stakes customer programme.

Understanding that purpose is the first conversation we have with every client. The destination, the venue and the experiences follow from there — chosen because they serve the outcome, not because they photograph well.

This is the difference between a beautiful trip and a retreat that produces the result the company invested in.

Every executive retreat begins with a single conversation. Tell us what you are planning and we will take it from there.
