A destination wedding in Puglia for 120 guests

In July 2026, a Canadian couple brought 120 guests from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe to Puglia for their wedding.

Alessia Piperno worked with the couple for more than a year, helping them choose their venue from abroad and organising the celebrations, guest arrivals and four nights of accommodation. She was also there during the event to coordinate the arrangements in person.

Planning a wedding in Italy from Canada

Choosing a wedding venue from another country takes more than looking through photographs. During the venue search, Alessia arranged live video calls to show the couple the spaces and discuss how they could work for their wedding.

That direct contact continued throughout the planning. Over more than a year, she supported the couple with decisions about the venue, suppliers, guest arrangements and celebrations, following up locally as the plans developed.

The symbolic ceremony took place at a sea-view villa in Otranto.

Getting 120 guests to their hotels

With guests travelling from four different parts of the world, arrivals were a substantial part of the organisation.

Alessia coordinated all guest arrivals and transfers to their respective hotels. She also arranged accommodation for four nights across several properties, offering options at different prices to suit guests’ budgets.

The hotel arrangements and transport had to work together, with each guest’s arrival connected to the right destination and the wider wedding schedule.

Two days of wedding celebrations in Otranto

The couple wanted time to celebrate with the people who had travelled to join them. The wedding extended over two days, with the symbolic ceremony overlooking the sea and further time together over beach aperitifs afterwards.

Alessia coordinated the catering, DJ, flowers, event setup and gifts for guests. She also arranged children’s entertainment during the wedding, making provision for the younger guests alongside the adults’ celebrations.

Each supplier’s arrangements formed part of the same plan, covering both the appearance of the spaces and how the celebrations would unfold.

There when the plans became a wedding

Alessia’s involvement continued on site during the event. Having worked with the couple throughout the preparations, she knew the decisions behind the setup, the supplier arrangements and the guest logistics.

She was there to coordinate delivery, respond to questions and look after the practical details while the couple spent time with their family and friends.

For this wedding, her role covered more than the ceremony and reception: it included the year of conversations beforehand, the accommodation and arrivals of 120 guests, and the celebrations that brought them together in Puglia.
