The Amalfi Coast is the destination companies choose when the message of the retreat is recognition: a top-performer incentive that needs to feel earned, a partner programme that introduces strategic clients to one of Europe's most visually defining settings, a milestone moment for a leadership team that has delivered something significant. The cliffside hotels of Positano and Ravello, the historic villas above Amalfi and the cliffhanging gardens of Capri carry a weight no other Italian coastal destination matches.
Operationally, the Amalfi Coast is one of the more demanding destinations in Italy. The road infrastructure is constrained, parking is restricted, helicopter pads are limited, and the venue inventory is concentrated in a small number of properties that book years ahead for peak weeks. The gap between a well-operated Amalfi programme and a poorly coordinated one is wider than almost anywhere else we work.
The coast rewards programmes of three to five nights for groups of twelve to seventy, where the company is willing to invest in the destination properly and use the setting as the primary message of the retreat.
Our Approach
An Amalfi programme is operated, not booked. The destination tolerates almost no margin for error: transfers, boat windows, cliff venues and weather all compound on a tight road network. We design and operate every Amalfi programme end-to-end with the coast's general managers, captains, helicopter operators and chefs.
Long-standing relationships with the historic five-star hotels of Positano, Ravello and Capri secure dates, exclusivity zones and dinner venues outside published inventory — including during peak weeks that show as fully booked publicly.
Private boat fleets from Positano, Amalfi and Capri are contracted by name and time, with sea-state contingency built in. Helicopter transfers from Naples and Rome are arranged through long-standing operators for senior principals.
One project manager owns the brief, the run sheet and every supplier across hotels, boats, restaurants and chefs.
The SS163 coastal road is the destination's single greatest operational constraint. Every road movement is timed, sequenced and routed for the actual traffic patterns of the day, with contingency vehicles staged at named points.
Bookings sit under a project name. Restaurants, boats and venues are briefed before arrival on which names are public and which are not.
Every boat moment is contracted with a parallel land-based plan. Decisions are made on a defined timeline by named owners.
Where We Host
Five-star cliffside hotels. The defining venues of the coast — Le Sirenuse, Belmond Hotel Caruso, Borgo Santandrea, Monastero Santa Rosa, the historic houses of Capri — handle senior international corporate audiences as a long-standing part of their clientele. We contract directly with the general managers, which secures full-floor exclusivity, private dinner venues and terrace buy-outs that sit outside publicly available inventory.
Private villas above the coast. A small number of historic villas above Positano, Praiano and Ravello are available for full exclusive use — typically 8 to 14 en-suite rooms, with on-site staff, private chef, terraced gardens and direct sea access by lift or stair. The format produces the most cohesive Amalfi programme for boards and executive committees.
Capri private estates. Several historic estates on the island open for private dinners and small group stays, accessed by private boat from the coast or by helicopter from Naples. Used as a one- or two-night chapter inside a broader coastal programme.

Private gozzi to Capri and the grottos. A day on traditional Sorrentine gozzi from Positano — the Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni, lunch at La Fontelina or Da Luigi on Capri reserved under exclusivity, return at golden hour.
Closed-door villa visits in Ravello. Out-of-hours visits to Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo with a senior guide, followed by aperitivo on the Terrace of Infinity. A short cultural moment that genuinely earns its place.
Michelin dinners on private terraces. Starred chefs brought to a host hotel or villa to cook on the property's own terrace, with the sea below and no other guests present. The format produces the coast's most memorable dining moments.
Mozzarella and pizza experiences in the Cilento and Naples. A morning at a buffalo mozzarella producer in the Cilento or a hands-on Neapolitan pizza session inside a historic pizzeria — well-paced contrast to the more formal coastal programme.

The setting itself communicates the value of the moment. For incentives, partner programmes and milestone retreats, the coast remains one of the strongest answers in Italy.
Twelve to seventy guests is where the coast performs at its best. Below twenty-five, a single villa or a buy-out floor of a historic hotel absorbs the entire programme. Twenty-five to fifty works well with a single host hotel under exclusivity. Above seventy, the road and venue infrastructure starts to push back hard — we typically recommend an alternative destination rather than compromise.
Mid-May to late June and mid-September to late October are the ideal windows: warm enough for sea time, mild enough for outdoor dinners, and outside the August peak when the coast operates at a different rhythm. We generally discourage July and August for senior corporate audiences — the operational margins on the SS163 narrow significantly.
By road, Naples is 75–120 minutes to Positano depending on traffic, slightly longer to Ravello and Praiano. By sea, private transfer from Naples is 30–45 minutes directly to Positano's jetty. For senior principals on tight schedules, helicopter transfer from Naples or Rome (Ciampino) is the most reliable option, with helipads at several of the host properties.
Yes — the leading hotels and several of the private villas have purpose-built meeting infrastructure with controlled access, full AV and reliable connectivity. The advantage of the destination is that the entire cohort stays inside one perimeter; the disadvantage is the road network, which is why we design programmes that minimise unnecessary movement.
For May, June, September and October, confirm the host hotel 12–14 months ahead. The most sought-after exclusive-use villas and the small island properties on Capri typically reserve 14–18 months out. Shoulder dates in late October are usually deliverable in 5–7 months.
